MR. GREENS
An urban initiative for collecting and recycling plastic bottles through visible points in public spaces.
We turn plastic into a resource for cleaner cities.
Plastic Is Being Lost as a Resource
In urban public spaces, and especially during mass events — festivals, concerts, sports activities — large quantities of plastic bottles are generated.
In most cases they:
- are not sorted on site
- are not recycled
- are permanently lost as a valuable resource

A System That Makes Recycling Visible and Easy
Mr. Greens is a pilot urban system for the separate collection of plastic bottles — the process is visible, easy, and engaging for citizens and children.

How Mr. Greens Works
Five simple steps, from placing the container to the final recycling.
Container Placement
The mobile container is positioned at an urban event or public space.
Citizens Participate
People discard bottles separately from other waste — easily and visibly.
Collection and Transport
The project team collects and transports the gathered material.
Recycling
The plastic is handed over to certified recycling companies.
Impact Report
The quantity of material and the environmental impact for the community are reported.
What Is the Impact of Mr. Greens
Every collected bottle is a step towards a cleaner city and a more active community.
- Fewer plastic waste items in public spaces
- More recycled materials returned to the production cycle
- Building lasting habits for separate waste collection
- Active participation of citizens, families, and children
- Quantity of plastic material collected (kg and units)
- Traceable environmental impact — documented and publicly reported

Pilot Phase in Burgas and Ravda
The pilot phase allowed for an assessment of the system's effectiveness and preparation for expanding the model to new locations and partnerships.
collected and recycled
in Ravda
- 600+ plastic bottles collected and handed over for recycling
- Participation of local residents in a pilot initiative in Ravda
- Confirmed viability of the system in real-world conditions

Potential for Expansion
After the pilot phase, the project can be expanded across various formats and locations throughout Bulgaria.
Other Cities
Varna, Plovdiv, Sofia, Nesebar, and any city ready for change.
Retail Chains
High-traffic supermarkets and malls — places where people already bring bottles.
Petrol Stations
Along major road arteries — points with high daily footfall.
Schools and Kindergartens
An educational component — children learn to recycle from an early age.
Public Spaces
Parks, sports venues, gardens — wherever people gather.

Seeking Partners for Sustainable Change
Mr. Greens is developing as a pilot urban initiative in Burgas with the potential for application in other Bulgarian cities. We are looking for partners who share the vision of sustainable development and active local communities.
